On May 15 you should have received a notification of acceptance or reject of your application. If no, please check your spam folder and  contact us.

The notification of acceptance email includes a personal link and ID to confirm your registration and proceed with the payment. Deadline: May 23, 2018.

After May 23, you will receive a new form to make your Day 4&5 sessions choice and indicate if if you need to benefit from the shuttles that will be organised each day morning and evening between Paris Porte d’Orléans and Massy-Palaiseau RER station and Ecole polytechnique.

Q: Will the language of the summer school be German, French or English?

A: The language of the summer school is English, including application, communication, courses & talks, posters.

Q: What does the registration fee include?

A: The registration fee covers the courses, talks, special and poster sessions (the latter come with appetizer), coffee breaks, lunch, welcoming cocktail, banquet, shuttle bus option at the end of every day to Massy/Paris.

Q: What background is needed to follow the courses?

A:  The courses are planned to be maximally self-contained. Attending the summer school requires/assumes a basic knowledge of probability theory, linear algebra and analysis. Some programming skill is also needed for the in-depth tutorials with practical sessions; for the exact requirements, see the ‘requirements’ paragraph of the tutorials.

Q: Is a poster presentation considered as a decisive factor?

A: The primary goal of the poster sessions is to foster interaction; submitting a tentative poster title and abstract is valued positively.
